Money: none received, none spent

As of 24 October 2026, Waymark Project has received no money and has spent no money. It does not have funding, sponsors, grants, paid staff or donors, and it does not plan to raise money.

This page is here so a reader, funder, auditor or regulator can see the whole financial picture at a glance. It is updated whenever anything changes.

How it runs at no cost

What the project uses

The site is built to need no money. It uses free services and materials:

  • Hosting. Free hosting tiers for static pages. There is no server, database or paid software.
  • Web address. A subdomain of the founder's own domain, used at no charge to the project.
  • Books. Public-domain scans from the Internet Archive, the Digital Library of India and Project Gutenberg, which are free to use.
  • Time. Part-time volunteer effort by the founder. Volunteer time is not counted as income or expense.

If this ever changes

The project does not plan to accept money. If that ever changed, the board would have to approve it, it would be announced on this page before any money was accepted, and every amount received or spent would be listed in the annual report. No money would be accepted for the personal benefit of any director, officer or the founder.

Records

The project keeps a dated record of everything it publishes in the activity log. Because no money moves, there are no receipts or bank statements to keep. If that changes, financial records will be kept and summarized here.

Reporting

Financial reporting

Until the project is incorporated and recognized, there are no financial filings to make. After that, the plan is:

  • An annual summary on this page, even if every figure is zero.
  • The IRS annual electronic notice (Form 990-N) if the project is tax-exempt and eligible for it, which is available to small organizations.
  • Maryland's annual report for corporations.
  • Copies of the IRS application and recent annual returns to anyone who asks, as the law requires of tax-exempt organizations.

See Public documents for the current status of each filing.
